Rain delay during Liberty Flames baseball scrimmage
  • The scrimmage started early, and I missed most of it. It was reported to me that Nick Moran looked very good and that the bats came alive against Bryce Dolby. Nathan Keeter hit a homerun along with hits from Three Hillier and John Simmons.
  • Shortly after I arrived, a light rain started while LHP Josh Swink was pitching.
  • C Jack McMullan hit a rocket line drive off of Swink for a double into the left center gap.
  • IF Joe Waters followed that up with another rocket–this time a grounder that was barely fair and ended up in the right field corner.
  • Brayden Horton was back in the field. Hopefully he is able to swing a bat sooner than later.
  • The rain turned into a very heavy rain, and Coach Jackson called off the rest of the scrimmage.
  • It reminded me of the rain that Liberty played through in April 2022, but today was about 20 degrees warmer.
