* Ryan Butler was on today. He went 5 innings and didn’t give up much.

* Todd Hudson started for the other side. He didn’t go as deep. I’m guessing he’s still building up, but he pitched well also. I believe the hit below was the hardest hit ball today with a 102 mph EV.

* Joe Waters has seen regular time on the infield. He was called safe at third on this play. You make the call.

* Three Hillier making solid contact. There were a lot of solidly hit balls today, but the park is hard on hitters early in the year.

* Macaddin Dye is going to get a lot of time behind the plate. He and Jack McMullan appear to be the early season catchers, and both have looked good behind the plate so far.

* John Simmons with another solidly hit ball.

* Trey Cooper pitched well today at the end of the scrimmage.

* Freshman Max Labuda got some work in today. IIRC, he got a couple quick outs and then had a little trouble getting the 3rd out.

* The hitting is catching up with the pitching after a couple of weeks.

* This year’s team is the deepest it’s been over the past couple seasons, and probably even longer than that. There are going to be some good players searching for some ABs.
